About Costy

What we publish

The Costy Journal publishes practical grocery guides and early reports derived from aggregated receipt observations. Our focus is deliberately narrow: grocery prices, household budgeting, food waste, meal planning, and the purchasing patterns that Costy is designed to measure.

Articles are prepared and manually reviewed by the Costy Team. We distinguish observations from conclusions, disclose important dataset limitations, and correct material errors when they are identified.

Why Costy exists

Receipts usually disappear into a drawer or trash bin even though they contain useful information about products, stores, quantities, and prices. Costy turns that history into tools people can use for comparisons, lists, recipes, and spending decisions.
